Honeycomb tanto

This tanto is made of tamahagane steel in the traditional manner. Nagasa is 10.5 inches. Copper habaki. The saya is lacquered and accented with a honeycomb gold leaf pattern. The fuchi, kashira, menuki, mekugi, koiguchi, tsunakuchi, kurikata and kojiri are made of water buffalo horn. The tsuka-ito is silk. This blade has been tested for tameshigiri before the final polish and performed very well.
